On September 7, 2005 I found out about: Compare Owner Holiday Rentals "A guide to choosing the best " vacation rentals by owner " websites to advertise your holiday rentals property." Seems like a needed comparison of the rental ad sites.
As of May 8, 2004, the consensus of the Yahoo Forum is that these are the "Big 4" listing sites. It may vary for your property and location.
So, I'm starting this little analysis. I haven't finished yet because I was getting some eyestrain. I wish I could tell you which sites could generate the most rentals for your property. What I'm learning instead is that it's quite a bit of work to place an ad. If you have multiple ads (See "One property - 32 web ads!"), changing rates can be quite a burden. If you have your own site, your ad can say "see http://mycoolrental.com for the current rates."
